When tapping with a guide cartridge (positive feed), the tap / former is guided into the workpiece via the guide cartridge without the usual gate.
The guide cartridge must always match the pitch of the tap used.
This creates a thread with gauges from the very first thread. This system is therefore also suitable for soft material or thin-walled workpieces in order to produce as many load-bearing threads as possible.
Without a cartridge, the machine can also be used for tapping with a chamfer as with a normal drill. The functions of the switching control for right-left rotation are retained.
The extensive function cycles are unique to the SERRMAC MDR series.
(Sensor lever - single cycle - continuous cycle - continuous cycle with adjustable time delay)
The SERRMAC MDR is therefore suitable for both single threads and automated tapping systems.
